Kevin was admitted as a Solicitor in 1982 and he has specialised in immigration law for about 30 years. He is a Senior Caseworker and Supervisor under the Law Society Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme and a member of the Immigration law Practitioners Association (ILPA) which is a group of leading UK Immigration Practitioners which seeks to promote and improve the quality of advice and representation its members provide to migrants.
Kevin mainly represents unaccompanied minors ( children who have come to the Uk on their own ie without their parents) who are claiming asylum and in doing that he has to keep up to date with the latest cases about asylum law generally and also the country guidance about the countries where his clients come from and how they are at risk if they are forced to return. Some cases are more complex than others depending on the particular circumstances of the client and the country they come from. He deals with appeals against refusal of asylum as well including cases which go to the Upper Tribunal which are more complex. He enjoys his work and finds it very interesting.
Outside of work Kevin is involved in singing in choirs and also enjoys following sports mainly cricket.
